Civic Quarter 1 has once again raised the bar for commercial office building standards in the ACT, having now achieved a trio of sustainability ratings.
Amalgamated Property Group are extremely proud of this accomplishment, with CQ having now achieved all three of its key targets:
- 4 Star Green Star – Design & As Built;
- 5.5 Star NABERS Energy Base Building; and
- WELL Core and Shell certification at Silver level.
The NABERS rating is a national greenhouse performance bench-marking tool that allows the performance of similar buildings to be compared through ratings. Importantly, NABERS is based on actual building performance and therefore the design of the building has undertaken extensive modelling to prove its potential. The building is also investing in strong operational management and control, through tuning, monitoring and data analytics to ensure the design potential is achieved in its operation. The process takes into consideration details such as the climate of your location, the buildings’ size and occupancy, energy sources and its services to compare its performance to benchmarks of similar buildings. The energy data is assessed to enable your performance to be reflected relative to your peers, providing meaningful targets in the pursuit for greater efficiencies.
