Canberra’s food and drink scene is set for an exciting shake-up this April, with the launch of East Traders Hall, a vibrant new food and lifestyle destination at ANZAC Park East.

The precinct brings together leading local provedores and makers under the one roof and covers more than 800 square metres of space, delivering an open, layered environment with a high-end interior style that is unlike anything else in Canberra.

It will feature a curated collection of popular hospitality names, including Capital Brewing Co., Chairman GroupSliceria and Lava Coffee.

Capital Brewing Co. is set to open Lager House, a warm, easy going neighbourhood pub with a focus on seasonal lagers and exceptional food, while acclaimed hospitality collective Chairman Group has confirmed the launch of a new creative restaurant concept called WORLD, created specifically for East Traders.

Rounding out the first wave of retailers is Lava Coffee, which will anchor the precinct’s daytime coffee and breakfast offering, while Sliceria, the hugely popular grab-and-go pizzeria, is bringing its cult pizza offering to the precinct.

Additional venues remain under wraps for now, with plans underway for a series of smaller retail spaces designed for rotating pop-ups, from florists and specialty retailers to local artists, ensuring the precinct continues to evolve over time.

East Traders has been designed around a network of laneways, greenery, indoor/outdoor zones and high ceilings, with distinctive interior features throughout by Capezio Copeland.

The name East Traders Hall is inspired by the site’s original identity as ANZAC Park East, while the word ‘Traders’ is in reference to Amalgamated’s approach to carefully curating a mix of premium hospitality operators from across Canberra, bringing some of the region’s leading brands together as one connected all-day food and drink destination.

More details on the remaining venue line-up, menus and events and precinct activations will be announced in the coming weeks – people are encouraged to sign up to their VIP list on the website or follow on socials for first announcements.
