The Griffin and Kiara are the latest projects from Amalgamated Property Group. We take a look at these two unique developments in Parkes and Narrabundah.

You may know Amalgamated Property Group’s (APG) work from residences across Canberra, including Ivy in Woden, Amaya in Griffith and Manhattan on the Park.

That’s not surprising when you learn that the company has been developing residential and commercial property for nearly 20 years.

“APG is a huge advocate for the Canberra community,” says Wayne Harriden, E20xecutive Director of Independent Projects Marketing.

“They focus heavily on the design outcome of a project and how it interacts with the community rather than focusing on high density. The care, attention to detail and customer focus of APG is what separates them from the market.”

APG’s two newest projects are each unique in their own ways, with The Griffin (pictured above) breaking ground as the first residential development in Parkes, and Kiara offering easy living on a leafy Inner South street in Narrabundah. Both developments are rated minimum EER 5, with a focus on seamlessly integrating the design into each suburb.

“The Griffin is an unprecedented location. It has views of Canberra’s most iconic landmarks and is close enough to the city without the noise,” says Wayne.

With a dedicated concierge service, private pool, landscaped gardens, premium inclusions and generous floorplans, The Griffin exemplifies a high-quality residential development and stands out in the market place. The location offers residents a relaxed lifestyle with direct access to Commonwealth Park and Lake Burley Griffin.

Double-glazed windows, spacious kitchens with Miele appliances and picture-perfect views create a sophisticated atmosphere throughout The Griffin, while penthouse residents will be treated to private lock-up garages, plus over 200m2 of internal living and over 100m2 of outdoor entertaining space.

The project will include one, two and three-bedroom apartments, alongside three-bedroom penthouses. You can check out 3D models and floorplans of The Griffin at the display suite located on 44 Constitution Avenue from the 16 November 2019.

Across the lake on a quiet loop street in the suburb of Narrabundah, Kiara provides a modern lifestyle in an established area within walking distance of the Manuka and Griffith shops.

“Part of the original Inner South, Kiara is low density and complements its surrounds,” says Wayne. “Kiara caters to a wide range of the market, families and downsizers will gravitate towards the single level 3 bedroom apartments or the “house size” townhouses whilst the young and aspirational will love the 1 and 2 bedroom apartments”

Kiara is made up of 158 apartments (a mix of one, two and three-bedroom), as well as 19 townhouses (three and four bedroom). All come with reconstituted stone benchtops, Bosch appliances and double-glazed windows and sliding doors, while the 3 bedroom apartments and townhouses also have lockable, double car garages.

The central landscaped zone is one of the unique elements of Kiara providing approximately 2,000sqm of green amenity to future residents. This area includes a large BBQ and dining area as well as a glass-encased gym for the residents’ exclusive use.

The design intent of this landscaped zone drew inspiration from Amaya, APG’s award-winning project along Austin Street in Griffith.

The team will be celebrating the launch of Kiara with an event on Saturday 16 November where guests can get a sense of the project. All are welcome from 10 am to 2 pm for free burgers from Grease Monkey, free coffee and live music, plus the opportunity to walk through the display suite for the first time.
