As the 2025 winner, Oaks Canopy is now a finalist in the 2026 HIA Australian Apartment Complex and 2026 HIA Australian Specialised Housing awards.
A first of its kind for Canberra, Oaks Canopy has been leading the way in rental living since opening its doors in 2024. Purpose-built for convenience and community, residents enjoy on-site services and dedicated amenities that make everyday life easier, richer, and more connected.
Oaks Canopy is Canberra’s first purpose-built Build-to-Rent development, designed as specialised housing to meet the growing demand for secure, high-quality rental options. Spanning 14 storeys and comprising 156 studio-, one- and two-bedroom apartments, the project was delivered with durability, efficiency, and tenant wellbeing at its core. The design prioritises long-term performance with robust finishes, low-maintenance detailing, and energy-efficient all-electric systems. More than 6% of the internal footprint is dedicated to communal amenity, including co-working spaces, lounges, a library, landscaped gardens, and e-mobility facilities. With fully furnished options, technology-enabled services and carefully integrated management infrastructure, Oaks Canopy establishes a new benchmark in specialised housing for the nation’s capital.
